Ed Sheeran’s “Shape of you” remained on no.1 Position on the billboard for about 2 weeks after release and is still at large. “Shape of you” is a new single from Ed Sheeran’s new album named “Divide”.
According to a report from The Daily Mail, a British woman named Sonia Bryce from Walsall, West Midlands has been sentenced to eight weeks in jail for creating loud and repeated disturbances that annoyed her neighbours. Among her most serious offences: blasting Ed Sheeran’s “Shape of You” on repeat for a half hour.
Although it was only part of a larger pattern of disturbances, it was Sheeran’s song that finally prompted her neighbour to contact the authorities. Bryce denied the allegations—saying she “didn’t even like” the song—but the judge found her guilty and jailed her for eight weeks.
The song also grabbed headlines when Sheeran admitted that he used parts of the melody from TLC’s classic hit “No Scrubs.” Kandi Burruss and [[Tameka Cottle]] (a.k.a. Tiny Harris), who wrote “No Scrubs,” who now also have songwriting credits on “Shape of You”:
